How to Make A Gin Fizz

gin-fizz

This Bank Holiday weekend was mostly spent wandering around the Galway Food Festival but now that it’s nearly over, I think it’s time to sit back and have a drink! Everyone knows the classic gin & tonic, but have you ever used gin to make any other drinks? The gin fizz is an easy classic drink to whip up. It is a perfect little cocktail for gin lovers who want to take it up a notch. Also, did we mention it is super cute?

What You Need:

  • Gin ( We used Bulldog London Dry Gin)
  • Simple Syrup
  • Lemon Juice
  • Soda Water
  • Ice

Optional:

  • Colourful Straw
  • Mason Jar

This drink is super easy to make. Everyone makes their drinks differently but this is how I make mine. Firstly, add ice to your glass and let it chill for a couple seconds. To start the drink off, add one measure of gin. I choose Bulldog London Dry, just because it is one of my current favourites but use whatever gin you want here. Gordon’s or Beefeater would also be great! Add the juice of one lemon to the glass. Depending on how bitter or not you would like your gin fizz to taste, add your simple syrup. But generally about one to two shot of simply syrup. Then top off with soda water! And that’s it, your gin fizz is ready to drink. Add a garnish if you would like, a little flower like I did or a slice of lemon.

A Gin Fizz is a tasty little cocktail to make at home for yourself or whip up a few of these and impress your friends. What is your favourite gin drink? Is it the classic gin & tonic or do you rather a gin fizz? Let us know on Facebook, Twitter or check us out on Instagram for more cocktail inspiration.
